ERSTES SEMINAR ENDET (VERNISSAGE & ERGEBNISSE)
Ich habe im April 2009 ein Seminar gestartet. Alle 2 Wochen, Freitags ab 18:00 in meinem Studio für 3 Stunden, haben sich die Teilnehmer getroffen und von Grund auf meine Herangehensweisen in der professionellen Fotografie kennen gelernt. Dabei waren junge Teilnehmer (15), Teilnehmer die sich gerade erst eine Spiegelreflexkamera gekauft hatten und welche die neue Inspirationen brauchten.
Ich muss zugeben, da ich zunächst große Töne gespuckt habe “wir werden eine Abschlussausstellung machen” hatte ich bissl Angst, als ich die Fotos der Teilnehmer beim ersten Termin gesehen habe. Nach einiger Zeit reiner Theorie war ich aber schon sehr erstaunt wie sich die Bilder verändert hatten. Die professionelle Herangehensweise mit NATÜRLICH einigen Stolpersteinen hat die Teilnehmer letzten Endes zu grandiosen Fotos geführt über die ich (entschuldigt den Ausdruck) “scheiße stolz” bin!
Teilweise wurden Bilder schon bei der Ausstellung verkauft (das passiert manch einem Profi nicht) und man findet ein paar Bilder in der Gallery der fotocommunity!

Wanda (Germanys next Topmodel Kandidatin) bei Felix Rachor
Hallo zusammen.
Vor kurzem war die wundervolle Wanda Badwal bei mir. Sie wurde bekannt durch Germany´s next Topmodel (by Heidi Klum)
Demnächst in einem Kinofilm neben David Kross in der Hauptrolle zu sehen (”Same same but different”)

Wanda ist ein tolles Modell aber eine ebensotolle Schauspielerin. Das sind immer Shootings die unterstreichen warum ich diesen Job liebe.

Ich war also als Schauspielerfotograf tätig und wie ich finde haben wir zusammen tolle Schauspielerportraits gemacht.

Salzburg Profi-Foto-Kongress Die Ergebnisse
Am Wochenende (17,18 Oktober) fand in Salzburg in einem chicen 5-Sterne-Hotel ein Profi-Foto-Kongress statt.
Ich war dort Referent für Modefotografie und habe dort mit einem Klasse Team 50 Fotografen mit Tipps und Tricks versorgen dürfen.
Neben sehr viel Spaß kamen auch Ergebnisse heraus, die ihr hier sehen könnt. Für die, die nicht dabei waren habe ich ein kleines Video gemacht.

Neue Modebilder und Referent in Salzburg
Hallo zusammen.
Auf meiner Website könnt ihr im Bereich Mode und und Portrait neue Bilder mit der Germanys Next Topmodel Kandidatin Carolin Ruppert betrachten.
Es war ein geniales Shooting mit einem absolut gigantischen Kleid. Auf den Fotomafia-Treffen werde ich darüber mehr erzählen.

Post aus Taiwan
Heute habe ich nette Post aus Taiwan bekommen. Das Designermagazin (vergleichbar mit dem Magazin PAGE) hat mich vor 3 Monaten gefragt ob sie ein Portfolio von mir printen können und haben ein Interview geführt.

1. Please introduce yourself ?
My name is Felix Rachor. I grew up in different places in Euorpe (Austria, France, Switzerland, Germany).
Having been trained as a media designer and having gained practical experience in photography I opened up a photo studio in Berlin. My deep commitment to professional photography and my genuine interest in people with their specific psychological dispositions has lead me to specialise in the field of portrait photography, fashion and advertising photography.
Always working with people. That is what is inspiring for me. I am a practical artist, this means that I do work creatively but always for a practical purpose. Photography is my life, I don’t do things by halves.
2. Your computer platform: PC/Mac ? CPU ? RAM ? 2d softwares ?
Mac, 2x 8core, 16 GB Ram, Adobe Creative Suite
3. Which 2D software is your master tool to retouch photo ? Please tell us why you choose these software ?
Bridge – CamraRAW – Photoshop
Photoshop is in Europe the one and only 2D Tool for professionals to work on photos.
4. What are the most common problems involved during photography process ? How did you solve these problems ?
Surprisingly enough, I never had any problems. With a clear perspective, a lot of ambition and the pressing need to start and implement immediately, one can achieve whatever one wishes. A pinch realism and a sense for innovation is a must for any kind of professional success. Every now and then it is also important to take a risk if you want to get somewhere.
5. How to be a good photographer ? tell us some suggestions ?
Make photography the centre of your life.
Never stop searching for new ways.
Dare thinking in a crazy manner.
Be at the same time organised.
Be fast.
Have clear aims and goals.
Don’t hesitate to start immediately.
Be always open for new learning new things.
6. What are your sources of inspiration ?
Music plays an important role when I am searching for ideas. What is most inspiring for me is my daily life as I often switch between different life styles. Rich, poor, ecological or capitalist – I take a look at everything, I get my inspirations and ideas which I translate into abstract visuals in order to create new forms. Sometimes there is a result and sometimes not, but as I am constantly on the move, there are always enough ideas.
7. How to create a fashion photo has a strong unique style ?
You should find a new take, think in a crazy unusual way, be aware of habits of visual reception and play with them consciously. Extremes are in the centre of interest: extra large, minimalistic, extremely structured or completely disordered pictures. The point is the intention must be clear. Whatever you do in fashion shooting as long as the picture is not a statement it is boring. You must be passionate about it, take enough time for the conceptualisation and go for the shooting with an energy that electrifies and enthuses. This is what turns pictures into art works.
8. Please write the information text for each artworks (artwork title, client, information…).
Picture 1
This picture shows a German actress (Alissa Jung). For actors and actresses I have a special concept: They receive a personal briefing which is written like a film script. This means that I can work with them and give them instructions without telling them actually what to do. In this case I asked her to capture the world in a naïve way.
Picture 2,3 and 4 (Isatu Vilqoc)
These photos are part of an editorial for a fashion magazine in Germany. The main topic was the feeling for fashion, the theme was ‘the seasons’.
Pictuies 4 and 6 (Julia Kristin)
These photos were made to be exhibited at the opening of a photo studio. They present and represent the studio as such.
Picture 7,8 and 9 (Gudrun)
This photo was shot during a workshop at which I was the trainer. I conduct workshops for committed photographers in the domain of fashion photography and models training in different European countries.
